Negative at Doctors

Help. I'm about 3.5 weeks pregnant as proven by 10 home pregnancy tests but when I went to my doctors today (late afternoon) they said it came up negative. I took another home pregnancy test when I got home and it was positive and darker than before! What's going on? Are there tests not as sensitive??
