Fear of labor

Is anyone else terrified of the pain of labor?! I find myself thinking about it almost all day every day. As my due date gets closer I get more and more stressed out over it. It doesn't help that whenever I talk to someone who has had kids before they always tell me "You're going to definitely want an epidural, the pain is unbearable!" Someone please tell me I'm not the only one that's afraid!
