If you're in the US: how much will your labor and delivery cost?

I know depending on vaginal, csecition, induction, medicated, unmedicated, NICU, no NICU, etc. all play into the cost but around here (unsure if it's everywhere) the OB's give you a form with a base amount to expect for L&D at the hospital.

Mine will cost around $15,000 before insurance. (Again, base amount on the form from my OB)

My husband is in the military so nothing because we have tricare. However if something was to go wrong or I needed extra days in the hospital, we could pay something, but it would be very small.

My first baby was $18k before insurance, I paid $1500. 2nd baby was $15k before insurance, I paid $5000 (same insurance but the Affordable Care Act made our insurance skyrocket). This time we have different insurance and it pays 100% maternity so I'll pay nothing, thank God!

I have no clue what it is before insurance. So I probably voted wrong. Deposit is less than $2000. Then they bill my insurance for 5 separate services. Anesthesia, pediatrician, etc.
