Feeling a little worried...... update.....

I'm going a little scared/worried..... I'm 16w2d and so far this pregnancy seems to be going along without out any problems. Tonight when I got home from work I noticed that there was bright red blood on my underwear..... and then having light cramps all evening. I have been fighting a bad cold all week with a lot of coughing. I read online that sometimes a lot of coughing like that can cause that from the extra pressure. After having a miscarriage last year I don't know if I'm over thinking this right now. Anyone else experience anything like this?

When I went to bed I wasn't really bleeding anymore. When I got up the next morning it was nothing but brownish like dried blood when I wiped. By late morning /early afternoon it was gone like nothing ever happened. I think I might have just overworked/strained myself earlier this week between the cold and helping unload/move boxes of food (I was volunteering at a local food pantry). I have an obgyn appointment in a couple days and I'm going to mention it to her then to see what she says
