2 week old sick?

My baby has a goopy eye... I'm not sure if he's getting sick or what. He seems fine otherwise. Is there anything I can do to help with his eye?

Mine had this at two weeks, I freaked out thinking it was an infection. Took him to his pediatrician, turns out it was a clogged tear duct. I wiped it with a clean warm wet rag every time I thought about it or when I saw there was gunk on it. Set the rag and let the area warm up by the nose and then massage up the side of the nose only pressing upwards. Also, he suggested breast milk, I put some on a rag, straight from the boob and wiped his eye with it. Oddly enough it was clear the next morning.

Probably a blocked tear duct. My four week old has this. If her eye doesn't look red or irritated then it is probably not an infection. Use a warm wet wash cloth to clean the goop and massage between her nose and tear duct.
