I'm about 8 weeks pregnant (according to my LMP of 9/9/16). At 6 weeks I had an hCG blood test done and I was within normal range, so an early ultrasound was ordered for me. The results showed there was a pregnancy and heartbeat was seen. When they got the heart rate though, they noted it at 79bpm, however, the very first heart beat the tech picked up, it was 101bpm and I know that wasn't my heart rate! So I'm confident the heart rate is normal. They want to schedule another ultrasound since they weren't able to gauge how far along I was based off the ultrasound. We lost our son at 11 weeks a year ago due to triploidy, so I'm very nervous. Granted it's VERY rare that triploidy will occur again, I'm still very nervous. Even worse, ANYTIME I discuss with the nurse or midwife an ultrasound or blood test, I get cramps. I know it's psychological. I think it's because the thought of another loss makes me panic. Any other time I'm fine. No cramps. I had some light spotting/bleeding in the beginning, very intermittent, very light pink or very dark brown but that has since passed. I'm hoping there are similar experiences here that had a happy ending.
