Birth defects test and knowing the gender?

Today I'm going in for my birth defects testing. They are doing blood work and an ultrasound. My question is can they know the gender from the blood work and/or ultrasound this soon? I'm 12 weeks today.

I just had the panorama test done Monday. It tests to see if you're high risk for Down's syndrome and trisomy. It can also tell how many X or Y chromosomes there are, so yes, if you're having this test done you could find out the gender this early. The phlebotomist asked me if I wanted the gender in the report, I'm assuming they will ask you the same.

Not all providers allow you to know the sex of the baby. You should ask... Or wait until the anatomy scan.

It depends on what test they use. Only the newer ones (Panorama, Harmony, MaterniT21) can see the gender via blood. And it's too soon for them to tell you the gender via u/s. At 12w boy and girl parts look a lot alike.

I was told it depends on the blood test. I have only heard of this. I don't know what test they are. But I guess it is possible
