Quilt on registry?

This is a pretty dumb problem lol but I'm ocd and trying to get my registry just right... Nice and practical! I know babies dont sleep under a blanket right away but at what age do they start doing so? Is it something I'd find useful in the near future after birth or not till way down the line

My kids wear sleep sacks until they transition into a twin bed, usually around 2.5. I wouldn't register for a quilt yet. By the time they are in a real bed you may want to decorate differently.

About 2 yo is when my daughter started sleeping with a blanket, even then she often kicked it off. And a tip from an experienced mom. Don't put too much effort into you're registry or at least don't count on it and get disappointed because people these days often don't buy off of it. Out of my 2 showers i had, I only had 3 or 4 people buy off my registry.

You can use a quilt in other ways ... Cover the couch or floor when playing, lay down their n YOUR bed, etc.

No blankets until the age of 1 (nothing in the bed actually). We Zipadee Zips sacks for warmth (and they actually shouldn't be "warm" because they already have higher temps than normal) until she was 1. After than she used, and still uses, only her Muslin blankets. She won't get anything thicker until she's three or in a bigger bed.

My daughter has been sleeping with a blanket sense she learned to crawl. So about 5 months for us. I know some parents don't do that, but we do. We only give her the small baby blankets though, nothing heavy like a quilt.
