Pumping to induce?

Question

Is breast pumping a safe way to naturally induce labor? Does it work? I'm 39+4 and not dilated. Just want to help push things along.

And of course I would save whatever I was able to pump for baby.

I tried it! My doctor gave me the okay. Unfortunately it didn't work for me, just made my boobs extremely sore.

Having an orgasm coupled with nipple stimulation is going to get a lot of of those labor hormones pumping better than a breast pump.

Did nothing for me! I was pumping from 36 weeks and was induced at 42

I dont think pumping is a great idea. ... I was able to bring on my last 3 labors by nipple stimulation though... so my husband gently and comfortably played with basically, or.massaged , rubbed my nipples until a contraction started... stop while you are contracting and then start again until you feel another.. it may take a while to start feeling any  and they will be  very weak at first but if you keep at it... it can take hours.. and hours... they will start coming consistently on their own. If your body is not ready though they will just lead to nothing.  Even being dilated doesnt mean your body is ready.
