Need Advice

Okay so I've been HARDCORE crushing on this guy. Everyone thinks we are dating and I mean EVERYONE. He's always so sweet and kind and he treats me like a queen. But he's changed, he started acting like a jerk, always talking about other girls and I got super depressed. Yesterday he texted me saying "I was reading through our texts and I didn't realize how much of a jerk I've been...I'm sorry"(etc.) when he said that my emotions just went crazy. I love him, but I don't know if he right for me. He's my best friend and I don't know what to do. If you can help I'd love it, hopefully I don't sound to crazy...
