I'm wondering how likely it is to give birth early and if I should go kn my planned Christmas trip.

42 weeks with my first, 40+5 with my second

40+5 with my daughter. It was an emergency c section and she only came then because her heart beat started to drop when the nurse blew out my vein trying to put an IV in.

The average pregnancy lasts 40w+5d, and first babies tend to be later. Statistically, 70% of babies are born after their EDD (not counting inductions). That being said, it's impossible to know when a baby will come! I delivered at 41 weeks.
