Period lasting 5 days??

Is that normal? I usually only have period for 4 days, but this cycle I've been on period for 5 days now.

Completely normal. Most of the time mine lasts for 4 days, but sometimes a day shorter or a day longer.

I swear, it's like periods have a mind of their own!

It is normal. Especially if you are young, your period may fluctuate a little bit over the next few years. When I first got my period at age 12, it was only about three or four days, but as I got older it got a little bit longer, and then in my 20s it lasted seven days. So it could change at any time.
