IVF offered very quick

I went to the fertility clinic yesterday. I'm 30 and have been ttc for 1 year. When I told her the issues - I had my left ovary removed etc. I was actually very surprised how quickly she offered me ivf. This will be my first child, in the UK the first ivf is free and subsequent ivfs will have to be paid for. My concern is this, she didnt really give me any other options like fertility drugs or further testing until my husband probed her. If we hadn't have said anything she would have pushed for ivf. Why? Would they not want to investigate? I had one blood test and husband was tested both were normal, and that's all the testing they did before offering ivf.
