Ok I really don't want to scare anyone, but I wish now someone had warned me!!!  My labor wasn't bad, I had an epidural.  It's the aftermath of the process... granted I do have 3rd degree tears so this is probably why my second labor 5 days later was worse than the first.  I gave birth to my precious baby boy on Monday October 31st.... I was 41 weeks 5 days. He is perfect in every way!  However my second labor came about 30 min ago when I had my first bowel movement!  I have never felt anything so awful in my life!!! The worst part about it is just like your body takes over with contractions to push the baby out, your anus does the same thing and pushes out the bowel movement even when you don't want it to.... I seriously felt like I was being ripped in two!  I thought I was going to die and almost past out at the sight of all the blood! Ladies make sure you start taking softners well before giving birth and continue after birth as well for awhile!  Now that my baby is here, he is worth it all!  However, I'm not sure I will be having another one.... not anytime soon at least!
