does back pain during periods = back labor?

This might seem silly but it just occurred to me:

I normally don't get period cramps, just a horrible lower back ache. Now I've read a few times about "back labor". If you had back labor, did you also have back aches during mestruation prior to becoming pregnant?

Just curious if there is any correlation.

Back labor is usually most related to the position of the baby during labor/contractions from what I've read!

Although some of these ladies are right I'll explain my issue. Never had period cramps always lower back pain... This is my 5th pregnancy... I have one living child and one very close to being here... Every time I've went into labor I labored in my back didn't know why until this pregnancy... Apparently my uterus tilts..

I had back labor all 3 pregnancies. I didn't really have back pain with af. I used to have really bad cramps. I'm hoping this last pregnancy I don't get back pain. This pregnancy is already different than my others so hopefully

Back labor just feels like you need to poop really really badly lol while cramps feel like you pushed yourself too hard during a work out. That's how I was able to tell the difference at least.

No. Back labor usually occurs due to the baby's positioning. A baby who is posterior or "sunny side up" is more like to cause back labor. It has nothing to do with menstrual cramps. My daughter was posterior and I had horrible back labor. My son was not and I had no back labor.
