Any money saving tips for a wedding??

Question

Getting married in spring 2016 and looking at venues I'm estimating around 5 grand for the venue :( hoping it will be less!! but then obviously there's everything else!

I made my own invites, table numbers, place cards, save the dates. I got my flowers from a grocery store so it was way cheaper and just as pretty. I got my dress online lightinthebox.com for $200 and it was beautiful. My whole wedding was $2,000. That includes the outdoor ceremony and a 3 course sit down dinner. Shop around for venues. It's a party. Don't put yourself in debt and in a bad spot paying for a party.

We decorated, cooked, cleaned up and everything ourselves. My whole wedding venue and everything was probably 700 dollars that includes my dress

See if your friends can help. For instance, if one of them is an awesome photographer, ask if they would do it as your wedding present. Still give them a little something anyway, though.

Woah! I paid $250 for my ceremony venue and $300 for my reception venue. If you go for a rustic theme you can use second hand decorations and it will look like a cute setting while being a cheaper option. We had a small wedding and a big honeymoon.
