Breastfeeding after breast reduction?

Any ladies out there that have had a breast reduction, but are hoping to breastfeed when baby arrives? I had a reduction about 6 years ago, and am hoping I can breastfeed when our little girl arrives in February, but am nervous it won't work! Anyone in the same situation or know anyone who had success with this? Thanks!

I had one 10 years ago, I was able to exclusively breast feed my babe until 10 months !

I haven't personally had one but I have had more patients then not be able to breastfeed after a breast reduction.

I had one when I was 14 (H cups was not fun) took me all the way down to a fuller C almost D after. With now being pregnant, they said because I was so young it's a 50/50 shot wether I can or not. I'm hoping I can but nervous to find out.

Any updates on this ladies? I had a reduction almost 7 years ago and am due in September. Wondering if there was some success?

I'd love to know how this works out for you. I'm due February 4th and have been worrying as well. I think I had a great surgeon and told him at the time how concerned I was about it... 
I noticed I had some weird stuff on my nipples recently and gave them a squeeze and a clear liquid came out. I'm hoping that means something's working?

Never had a breast reduction but it depends on the type of surgery... if they cut out your nipple and reconstruct the whole boob then you won't be able to produce milk... because the milk ducts gets cutt off ... also you should look into fat reduction and breast implants if you plan on breastfeeding
