PCOS - what happens at the Docs??

Hi,I'm almost certain I have pcos but I'm a bit nervous about going to the doctors about it.

​What the check and do ect?

Oh, also lots of blood work will be ordered so they can check all your hormone levels. Good luck! Don't be scared, there's a lots of us out there and I have met nothing but very concerned and caring doctors. Nothing I've had done is any more painful than a regular old pap.

My first visit they ordered an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis. I had two ultrasounds, a transvaginal and a pelvic, both on the same day. They were no more invasive or painful than a normal pap. Also at my first visit the doctor put me on metformin right away. That may not be normal, but we had already been trying for 2 years and I am 30, the doctor did not want to waste any time.
