Gifts For L&D Nurses??

Is getting gifts for L&D nurses actually a thing?
If so, what should I get them. 
Also, question about my hospital bag, did you ladies pack snacks? And do I need to bring diapers to the hospital?

I work in L&D and some patients do bring gift baskets, boxes of donuts, fruit or veggie trays, candy, pizza, really anything. Not a lot of people do so we don't expect it but it is nice and appreciated when a family does.

It's not expected or anything, just a nice gesture. We are planning on getting some chocolates or something. I think it's a nice thank you to the people who are gonna be keeping me alive and somewhat comfortable/sane for however long we are there lol. Also small town, so we know some of the ladies there lol. 
And I am most definitely packing snacks!!! Lol. Granola bars and whatever I think of. 
Our hospital provide diapers for the time your there and a few extras to take home.

I have never done nurse gifts but it is something I am looking into this time. My hospital provides diapers, wipes, pads, etc so I am not taking any. But I will probably not take snacks either I'll just send poor hubby out to get what I want lol

I never gave gifts... It honestly wasnt a thought😯 but i am sure theyd love it.

Lotion
Tumnler cup filled with candy, chapstick or whatever.

No,diapers are not needed. They have everythi ng you'll need while their. Pads, diapers, wipes...

I'm a labor and delivery nurse. I've gotten a few gifts. Usually starbucks cards because we have one at hospital or candy. It's nice to feel appreciate, but there's no expectation. If you feel they deserve it then yes. Also some people do cookies, cupcakes, donuts, etc.
