first time being pregnant please help! thank you so much !

First of all thank you for taking the time to answer this question, as I am very anxious as to what's happening! I am almost 36 weeks & About a week ago I woke up to go to the bathroom & there was blood mixed with I think what appeared to be a fluid like substance? I also felt pretty crampy so I called the on call dr & she sent me to go to the hospital. I found out that I was having contractions that were caused by being dehydrated? Even though I drink tons of water! They gave me iv fluid & the contractions stopped. I am less than a cm dilated the dr said , but I am just confused as to why I was bleeding?! They did not tell me why that was happening... So my question is does that mean labor is near ? Has anyone else had blood & delivered shortly after ? My baby also feels super low! & it's so uncomfortable! My stomach literally dropped down I look huge ! 😓 I just am having a decent amount of anxiety & I really don't have anyone I can talk to or ask about this. Thank you !!!
