Preterm labour
It all started on Friday morning. I was feeling intense pain, thinking it was baby sitting too low. Around 11 p.m. I figured out that I was having contractions. They started getting close together by the end of the night early morning. So around 11 a.m. I called my best friend who is knowledgeable and told her my situation. She suggested that I go to the hospital which is what I was already thinking but I wanted an extra push. So I called an Uber, and headed to the hospital. When I got there they immediately checked me in because I was pregnant at 26 weeks and 4 days. When the doctor checked me I was dilated 1 centimeter and my cervix was opening but, I didn't know that then. So they started me on Procardia to help the contractions stop. But they wouldn't stop so they ended up keeping me overnight for observation. The contractions kept coming so they gave me another dose of Procardia. I finally asked the doctor if I was headed into preterm labor and he said definitely so I'm so happy that I took her advice, even though I was going anyway, because 26 weeks and 4 days is entirely too early in my book to have my baby. I'm so excited to be home now I'm still on Procardia but my baby and I are perfectly fine. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
