Never taken me on a date??

I've been "dating" a guy for nearly a year. He still hasn't taken me on a proper date, invited me to hang out with friends, let me meet his family, posted about me, taken pictures with me, etc. He visits me about once a month because he lives about 40 minutes away and doesn't have a license. We FaceTime every night for hours and we text throughout the day. I think he genuinely loves me, but I just want him to show it for once..He's promised to but never follows through. I've talked to him about it..what do I do now?
