telling work??

Just wondering when others have told their employer about their baby news? I'm 6 weeks and was planning on waiting until 12 week to tell my manager but just wondered what others had done?

Trying to wait until after 12 week mark, but I may have to tell them sooner. I work in a hospital and there are certain areas within the hospital and patients I shouldn't expose my baby to being pregnant.

I told mine right away bc I'm a teacher and I wanted them to know that I'm experiencing low energy and have been sick .. I'll be 7 weeks this weekend

Told my boss as soon as I found out but we were once co-workers and she has known about my miscarriage and fertility problems because of doctors appointments and such. She's a momma and super supportive. Even brought me a chocolate donut this morning because I was talking about them 😄 I'm planning on telling my students (I have 12 university student employees) after holiday break since the week they leave I'll only be 10 weeks. I'll be 15 weeks when they get back to work.

I told mine already because I asked for the afternoon off for our first ultrasound appointment. My boss and I are pretty cool and I have my work phone on me 24/7 so I have more flexibility.

I got laid off 3 days after I had my IUD taken out, LOL, but I had planned to tell my manager immediately because I worked with chemicals that could cause birth defects, miscarriage, and tons of other reproductive problems.
