Getting induced this afternoon!
My platelet count has been all over the place. Today it's back down to 93. There isn't a great blood bank in town, so my options are to be induced now, or risk my counts getting lower and having to be medevac-ed to a bigger city, which I would NOT want. My dr thinks baby is ready.. I hadn't felt any contractions or any change but I'm 1-2cm dilated and baby has dropped! My dr did a membrane sweep today (which didn't hurt at all) and I had my bloody show and have been crampy since then. I have been calm about labor all along and now that it's happening (and so suddenly) I'm super nervous! My husband and I were both shaky right after we found out.
I'm a big wimp and even though I've been saying all along that I'm so ready to get this over with, I'm not sure how I'll handle the pain! Whether I get an epidural with my platelet count is up to the anesthesiologist. Also all of a sudden nervous about the responsibility of a tiny new baby to care for!
Pray my for a quick induction and delivery, strength to get through the pain and fatigue, and a healthy baby!
