What age do you think is best to start discussing sex with your kids?

Well you start with the basics when they're younger and as they get older you go into abit more detail about things

I don't think I'll start talking to my children about it until they start hitting puberty. Now if they ask me about it that's different, I will sit down and explain everything to them.

I don't find it weird it embarrassing. My son was like 7 my daughter was 5 when I got pregnant with my son and they thought that I got pregnant because I got married and I was like no I had sex. It was really just that simple.

I rather my kids go out prepared and on game about issues then walking around naiive and the wrong person takes their mind hostage...
And seeing that our world is so fuckef up and kids like 9 are having sex

I talked to my son about sex when he was 11/12 years old. My husband refused to talk to him apparently it's embarrassing so I had to do it. He is in his second year at university he told me the other day he has met a girl his known her for few months. I told him upfront hope he is being careful and using condoms I am not ready to be a grandmother yet I am only 38 years old I am far to young. Also he needs to be careful he doesn't get any std. He told me don't worry mum I am careful I even had a test at the clinic the other day to see if I am clean thankfully he is. To this day if he has any problems he will come to me first I personally think it's important to be open with children from young age and that includes talking about sex. My daughter is eleven years old next year I will speak to her about sex as well.
