how to make veggies taste good

My husband HATES veggies. He will eat ceaser salad, and mushrooms, and potatoes. That's it. What can I do to make them taste better? He's really trying to eat healthy and lose weight, he's in the military so he needs to get back into shape. Plus he has a dream to be a body builder. He wants to eat asparagus, broccoli, peppers, stuff like that. But he cant stomach them. Any foods to mix them in to get him to eat them?
