stool softeners and baby

I had a c section and I'm taking prescribed stool softeners. (They are greatly needed at the moment so not taking them is kinda not an option). But my LO just has two, quite large, watery stools back to back. And by back to back I mean, I changed her then 10 seconds later she filled the clean diaper and let out a lot of gas. Can my stool softeners be effecting her through my breast milk? Anyone else have this problem? I don't want her to have loose stool because of my meds
