I am convinced my son hates to burp for me

So we have started treatment for acid reflux and colic.... hugely important to burp to stop the buildup of gas to help with the colic. BUT here it is 45 mins after nursing with the 2nd breast and my arm is literally tired from trying to get this kid to burp. Gas drops haven't even budged his hard stomach. I have tried all positions, stretching, etc and am just convinced that my son hates me and doesn't want me to sleep. In 2 hours he will be awak screaming because of the pressure from not burping..... ARGH!!
