May I suggested some ligh reading.... Book 1. He's just not that into you , and book 2. It's called a breakup because it's broken. Sounds like you need some of their tips.

Wow...why create a rocky history with a guy?...If you break up with a guy with a good head on his shoulders over nothing he's not going to come back because all you're doing is making yourself look crazy...A smart guy runs away from crazy..lol...try caring about him a little...I love my man and would NEVER risk our relationship to test him like this...what about HIS feelings?  Maybe you're not fully ready to be in a relationship with someone? You could be doing him a favor

I don't think those who've commented mean to be judgmental or rude. Their advice is that it's not worth it because there are better options. Sometimes just talking it out, having an honest sit down conversation about what you want and what's making you unhappy can help. Breaking up can send mixed signals, because breaking up is leaving a broken or unhealthy relationship, or because two people have grown apart. If you want him to care more, then you need to make sure the knows that , without any room for interpretation as to what you really want. If he truly cares, he'll listen.

I only did cause hes a druggy (weed) and use to drink a lot at the time. Everyone he ever hung out with said he never cared about anyone or anything unless they had something to offer. (I was his girlfriend) so one night after he told me we would spend the night together, which I was excited about, he gets a text from his friends and then a call to come out and party. (In his defence his friend was back from aussie but they had spent a whole 2weeks together and I hadn't heard from him in that time and he didn't want to go out that night even after me pushing him to go cause I was also his birthday but he insisted he wanted to stay home cause he missed me and wanted a break) well after the last call from this chick and his mate, and finding out I was on my period, he gets up and gets ready to leave. A big arguments breaks out and i test what everyone said was true. When he left, I rung my dad and got him to pick me up. I left him a note, I cant remember what it said but it proved everyones point. 
I didn't have anything to offer him and i didn't hear from him for 3days. So I dumped him. 
Took him 5weeks to earn my trust back, he still smokes (thats doesn't bother me) but he doesn't drink now because he said he hates the way it makes him treat me. (Not the first time he had been an ass. He called me by a chick that rejected him before he asked me out) 
so yeah, thats my reasoning.
