Depro Provera? Opinions??

I've been considering getting Depro because I've heard it slowly stops the period. I get excruciating cramps so ultimately depro sounded like a good idea to me. Any opinions? I also heard the side effects are much worse. Let me know

It does stop your period. Helps with cramps . While I was on it (2yrs) I did not get a period. I got on it bc I had bad cramps and horrible breast pain from my cycles. It did the job for me, prevented pregnancy. But i did gain 25lb in tje first 6mo of being on it. However if I knew all the side affects I would experience after I decided to stop the shots I would never have started them in the first place.

I personally didn't put on weight but my period became very inconsistent and I began spotting a lot. At one point had my period for 27 days. So make the decision with all things considered

My bff gets the depro for the same reason (excruciating cramps). While it does take away from the cramps she has put on a lot of weight. A few people I know actually has put on weight from it. She also says that it makes her feel really lazy and tired the first few days, along with mood swings, etc. overall everyone is different so we never know how something will work for us until we try it out.
