I want the IUD, but should I get it??

Thinking about getting the IUD!! Give me some opinions on your experiences I need to know!

My friends mom has it. She said it hurts HORRIBLY to get it put in and taken out. My other friends mom had it and it got literally lost inside her, they couldn't find it and couldn't take it out ever.

I want the IUD, but should I get it??
