Not TTC related but if you're selling a bunch of products on Etsy/have your own business making signs and oils, do you have to report it to the government for tax purposes? Is it legal to sell products and make 100% profit on it and the government be OK with not receiving any of that money. This is for Washington.

You are supposed to report all income, even cash jobs. If you got audited you'd have to pay back taxes and probably a fine

You have to report all income. Even if you don't get federal taxes taken directly out you still have to report it

Yes, and it's actually a felony to falsely report your income. You made income selling in etsy, you have to report it. If you get audited and they find out you didn't voluntarily divulge the info (and etsy will report it for you) you can go to jail for intentional (and felony) tax evasion.
