starting pill

I'm starting a new pill tomorrow and I wanna know the best time to start it. The paper says to either start the first day of your period or the Sunday after you start your period. Are there any other ways to start? And my doctor said to just start right away... which way could make it easier to transition or sooner for me to have sex 😊😊😊
