C-Section Hospital Bag?

I've read through many hospital bag checklists and compiled my own list. But now that I'm thinking about it, if I'm going to have a c-section, should I even bother bringing my laptop or a book to read? Isn't that more for the women who go into natural labor and have time to kill while they wait to dilate? Or should I still pack a laptop for my husband?

I'd still bring it to use after. You'll get bored there.

Don't ever pack. Do pack an extra bag to put all the stuff the hospital/friends gives you. With my first I WAY overpacked and it was overwhelming when trying to get it all loaded when I was discharged.  My first was my only vaginal birth. My second pregnancy was an emergency c-section, my third was a planned c-section and I'm currently pregnant and planning another c-section. I plan on packing nursing gowns/pajamas, shower stuff, nursing bras, c-panties, a little makeup, hair ties, and something comfortable to wear home. For my little one, I'll pack 3 outfits (you never know what size will fit), baby book, pacifiers and a soft blanket. Like I said, you get so much crap at the hospital it's almost overwhelming.

I packed all that stuff. Book. Laptop. Word searches. Coloring books. Didnt use any of it. Once I was in there I was kinda focused on my contractions, not where I was at in my game of thrones book. And after birth it was all about breast feeding coaching from any nurse and sleep whenever I could. I had so much crap to lug to my car once I was discharged. Next time all im going to pack is change of clothes for me and baby and my phone charger.

Bring it why not. But the main difference between my vaginal birth bag and c section bag was pants. After my c section I wanted nothing touching the incision so bring gowns or very very soft pants that barely touch the belly, I couldn't do leggings or maternity pants at first.
