doctor being difficult help please?!?!

Measuring 3weeks early yet. Which would put me at 37 weeks & 4says today. If they changed due date. Doctor's office is refusing to change my due date. 😣 Which means I'm still not die till 12/23/16 even after us already having an ultrasound done. To see how big our girl is. I'm terrified of a c-section. She wants us to do another. Ultrasound if she's big at next visit next week. Is this normal or should they change my due date? I mean I'm weighing in at 175.4 pounds as of today. Our 1st child was a big baby. He was 9pounds but had him in FL. Carries him to 41weeks. Having her in PA. I'm starting to get worried & anxious at the same time. Any advice would help?!?!

Just because baby is measuring ahead doesn't mean that baby is ready developmentally (lungs and such). You say it would put you at 37 weeks which means you are only 34 weeks right now. Ultrasound are only an estimate, and can be off by many ounce up to 1-2lbs. So the doctor would be taking a huge risk by changing your due right now. Whose to say you are going to make it to your due date?? Just be patient the doctor is going to do what's in best interest of the baby. Good luck.

They typically won't change a due date unless it's an early ultrasound. Just because baby is big doesn't mean baby is developed enough to come out yet. Also remember the
Sizing in an ultrasound can be off 1-2 lbs either way... it's really just a guestimate.

I was measuring big had baby at 35 weeks, my baby was 6lb & we had a 2 week NICU stay because even though she was big for her gestational age she wasn't developed enough or strong enough to eat or regulate her temp.

Due 1/6/17 have measured a month ahead the entire time. Due date will not change unless it's more then a month ahead. 32 weeks measuring 5.5lbs. Ultrasounds can also be off. But in general most Dr will not change due date.

Was your first ultrasound and anatomy scan showing a 3 weeks difference or less of a difference?

I don't understand. What difference would it make if they change your due date unless you're scheduling a c-section or an induction. If you go in to labor naturally, it will happen when the baby is ready regardless of EDDs. I'm sure your doctor will be monitoring you closely these coming weeks and it's better to err on the side of caution and let the baby cook more inside you as long as the placenta is supporting them.
