Traveling with Placenta Previa

I have placenta previa and am planning a 3 hr road trip for Thanksgiving. I'm worried about a bleeding episode starting on the road (not near a hospital) or being stuck in another state if one happens while I'm there. (A bleed would likely mean a hospital stay.) Anyone else traveling with previa? Any advice? (I have read that if a bad bleed starts it can cause you to "bleed out" within 10 minutes. Also, car accidents can certainly induce bleeding.)
