How do i begin the process of getting child support?

The father does nothing & has given me no money at all. Our baby is 10 weeks old & it is hard doing this alone. Any suggestions would be appreciated

In California, if you apply for Cal-Works (welfare), the state will file (and pay) on you behalf, if you choose. This includes hunting down fathers and dna testing.

Have you applied for WIC? They helped me get the process started but I know you can call your local child support enforcement agency and start the process as well. Try googling it and maybe they have a website and you can file right online.. I've never messed with any child support website so I don't know if it even works like that
