Follicle size and timing?

So it's my second month on fertility meds. Last month I took Chlomid but it didn't produce a follicle larger than 17 mm. Switched to Femara this month and added metformin. Just had my ultrasound today (cd17) and I have one prominent follicle at 21 mm. Does this guarantee I will ovulate?

21mm is great!! It's mature after 18mm. It would be ideal to have a trigger shot cause it forces ovulation, but if not use OPKs. Either way I'd start BD!! Good luck!!

Ohhh thx Rox! I had no idea. I think my dr is taking baby steps...this is only me 2nd cycle of taking meds.

Sounds likely but ask for a blood test after to check your levels and confirm. Or even better have a trigger shot now so you can time it. I triggered on a 17mm follicle which causes ovulation 36hours later so you can time intercourse. Good luck!

Are they giving you a trigger shot? I guess there are no guarantees but that is getting to a good mature size. I would say chances are very good.
