Maybe Implantation Bleeding?

So, my partner and I have been TTC for a couple cycles now. I was supposed to get my period and it was late that night when I started lightly spotting. My periods have always been regular in flow, so it was different to me. It only happened a little that night, and some the next day. I spoke to my friend and she informed me it could be implantation bleeding. I'm eager to test, but scared of another negative.
