Transfer 1 or 2?

So I recently had a failed IVF Fresh cycle where we transfered one 5 day blasto. We froze 6 5 day blastos. Now we are gearing up for an FET. The doctors have asked if we want to transfer 1 or 2? I know the basic pros and cons but I thought I would get some feedback here. Hubby and I are 31. I have PCOS and controlled by medication high blood pressure.  I guess im wondering what others did and what pros and cons there are especially to transferring 2?  (leaning towards 2)

You're really young and have an extremely high chance of implantation because there's nothing wrong with your uterus or any of the hormones that affect that if you have PCOS, just ovulation problems. If I were you I would put in one, because you're looking at four times the risk of miscarriage and growth restriction with twins, and I wouldn't choose that unless I didn't have an alternative.

The only thing that can happen if you transfer 2 is a very high chance of twins. I transferred 2 embryos, my RE suggested 1 because my embryos were great quality. I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant with 1. Go for two and good luck.

I had a failed Fresh transfer of 1 embryo. Like others money was a factor so when we did the frozen I opted for 2 embryos. These embryos were not as good quality as the fresh so I wasn't worried. Well, I am currently 26 + weeks with twin boys. So it is really a question of, how do you feel about multiples? Cause it can happen!!

I just had egg retrieval today and my doc is recommending that I transfer two - but that's because I'm 36. I think at age 31 I would try just one.

It depends on age. After 40, put them all in, before that, the take home rate is the same.

I transferred two because it was our third go around and we were strapped for finances. As in there was going to be at least another year before we could try again if we transferred one and it failed. Well...both stuck and we're 7 weeks 4 days preggers with twins. I'm nervous but wouldn't have it any other way

Following as I am in the same boat. I keep going back and forth. We are doing PGS testing and will know sex of embryos so I wouldn't mind transferring one of each maybe?!? Ahhhhhh!!!

Mandan I posted this exact question a few weeks ago. I've had 2 fresh single transfers and both have ended in early miscarriages. I have unexplained infertility and all of our tests have come back fine. I had an ectopic last year and discovered I have damaged tubes which is why we decided IVF was our best bet. I'm doing a frozen transfer Friday and up until the day I had to decide I was unsure but we ultimately decided 2 was the way to go. It'll better our chances of getting that good embryo and if we end up with twins it's double the blessing. Good luck!!!
