trying to conceive with depression

When I had my daughter I didn't have depression but had post partum and it's been very severe. I've tried to kill myself a year ago. Now I'm in a better place dealing with it off medicine. Me and my friend were discussing this and although it's specific, maybe another woman had this same experience. I was wondering if it's safe for the baby to get pregnant with depression. There is a huge likelihood I will have depression during my pregnancy and after but will this cause a miscarriage? Is it safe to conceive with depression?
