Mucus plug truths?

⚠⚠***i do alot of research I'm just puzzled about this one thing*** ⚠⚠

I'm onto my second pregnancy at 14 weeks i started to lose my mucus plug every time it is like a huge glob im currently 19 weeks now,,, ive been doing some research about losing the mucus plug early in subsequent pregnancies and one post up on Google had said "losing the mucus plug is a sign that your cervix is dilating resulting in the mucus plug falling out as there is nothing for it to hold on to..... is this somewhat correct information?

I know the plug grows back but im just curious to know if this could be a sign of a funnelling cervix??

I haven't informed my midwife about my mucus plug and she is on holidays this week so i cannot just text her quickly and ask as the covering midwife wont reply through text only if you call her. (100%sure its my mucus plug, it looks the same as my first pregnancy and different to my normal discharge)
