After finding out LITERALLY the DAY I became pregnant, after messed up, long unpredictable cycles, 54 days of no period, going to the Dr and getting a negative blood test and negative home tests over and over. Went to the doctors on Oct 10th, blood test negative. Spotted the day after, negative home tests the 12th and 13th, on Oct 14, 2016 I FINALLY got a positive home test. Went back to the Dr on the 24th, another blood test confirmed it. Had an ultrasound to rule out ectopic pregnancy at 5 weeks and only a gestational sac was seen and the tech wouldn't tell me anything expect there's not a fetus. She didn't mention it was normal, and neither did my Dr's receptionist when she called me after my Dr reviewing the scans, who said "Dr Kaufman looked at your scans and there's only a gest sac, so it could be that youre too early or...well, she said to just keep taking home tests and if they're coming out positive there could be something there, but idk what that means..." so obviously being my first child I was confused, scared and nervous as h $#%. She referred me to an OB. They wouldn't see me until I was 8 weeks. So we waited and waited and finally got into the OB yesterday (Nov 16th) who didn't even examine me, they immediately gave me an order for an ultrasound that said viability, heart etc. That made it even worse. I was determined to get an ultrasound that say so I called around and got one at 4. Anxiously waiting, we got called back and she started the ultrasound and we immediately saw our peanut moving, heart flickering which she said was a strong heartbeat and everything was PERFECT. We cried. It was such a relief. She also said I have 2 cysts on my ovaries which are a good sign of a healthy hormonal sticky pregnancy! And now we have an 8 week old perfect peanut due June 28, 2017! I highly suggest waiting for an ultrasound until 8 weeks. The tech said most Dr's will not even give you one til then because of my situation, fearing the worst and stressing for so long. My conception date was Oct 1st, and she said it takes exactly 2 weeks to "become pregnant" which is why I got my positive the 14th. Exactly the day I became pregnant. It's so exciting and I hope all you TTC couples out there get your BFP soon!!! Wishing you all the best, and my other preggo couples! Baby dust to you all! Xoxo
