Best decision I made in my pregnancy (UPDATE)
I posted this long thing a couple weeks ago about the best decision I have made in my pregnancy so far. (If you'd like to read it, it's on my profile.) Anyway, I finally come to terms with the fact that that father wants nothing to do with the baby. It's been over a month since I've even spoke with him last. I decided to look at the rights that never married fathers have to their child. I found that never married fathers have ZERO RIGHTS to their child if the mother chooses to not have his name on the birth certificate. Also, his parents (the grandparents of the baby) have zero legal rights as well, and for those of you who have read what I've posted about his mother, you know what a relief it is to know she has no rights to see my child. Last night, I went ahead and deleted the father's number off my phone and resolved that it is no longer my responsibility to have to update him or try to keep him involved. I tried for so long to make him be involved, but he was all talk and no action. I'm so ready to move on from this.
(Please don't make any comments pertaining to the legal situation because I have researched it and know he can file for paternity/visitation/etc., but if he did that I'd file for child support. Also, I doubt they would give any visitation to him or his family based on what I have against them. Thank you💕)
