Hospital wouldn't let me pump!

So, I gave birth to my love two days ago and the Nurse tells me flat out that I have inverted nipples and that I could supplement feed when I got home. They wouldn't offer to help me pump or let my husband bring a pump in! Any other mommas have this problem?
