Crohns or colitis?

Any ladies out there with crohns or colitis? If so-let's commiserate together over trying to get pregnant while in remission!

I have two healthy babies though and was diagnosed with crohns for the first time before I had my first! Been struggling with it for 10 yrs in and out of remission trying to get a positive diagnosis. It's awful. I've been in sooo much pain and it's draining. No one understands!!! 
​But anyway I had two healthy pregnancys and healthy babies and I have the disease so a positive outcome is possible :) good luck!!

I've had Crohns 11yrs our daughter was conceived naturally within 3 cycles. she is now 9yrs old. However we have now been ttc no2 for 8yrs. Last week I was diagnosed with Endometriosis too. my IBD team have said for years when your body is ready it will happen, my Crohns is a lot more developed since 10yrs ago. I've gone from a few centimetres of bad bowel to my entire large bowel, colon and ileum now covered. This could be playing a big part.

I have Crohn's.  I got a positive pregnancy test the last 3 days and I am going to the doctor next week.  I am on Remicade and will remain on Remicade throughout.

I had 18 inches of my small/ileum/colon removed when I was 22 (now 35).  At the time it was so inflamed it was wrapped around my ovary and attached to my kidney.

I have been hospitalized 3 times in the last decade.  Once due to a stroke related to Crohn's.  I am suuuuper healthy now, and just got pregnant.  I actually have more energy and feel fantastic so far.

I just had my infusion yesterday and I am in my first trimester. And I get flare ups a lot! I was on humira for my son's pregnancy bc my dr was worried about leaving me on remicade which was a bad idea to switch humira did nothing for me. And I was taken out of work with my son 3 months into my pregnancy bc of the flare ups. So yea it's okay to take it my dr did a lot of research and asked other drs in his group. Hang in there I know I'm trying too!

Crohns for me. Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at age 16. Now almost 23. Had a really bad flare 2 years ago that landed me in the hospital for a month. God was good to me, though.

​Anyone conceived on Remicade? Not ready to start a family yet. But the nurse tells me I have to stop the Infusions before trying to conceive. Then have to wait until the 2nd trimester to start again.

Got my bfp Monday :) now I'm very constipated...But probiotics seem to help so I'll stick with those! Yayyyyyy! Did anyone tell their GI? I know she told me my apriso is safe to keep taking. Maybe I'll wait til after my official blood test!

I've had IBS my whole life, but was told a few years ago that it's colitis.

Hi jennifer! I have ulcerative colitis actually but I know we are similar :) it's been one hell of a ride. I've been in remission (knock on wood) since December, so while we are in the clear we are trying for a baby. We've been trying since January...I'm currently on apriso, and vsl #3 probiotic. I take a cortifoam enema if I get any flare ups because I'm trying to stay off of prednisone. How bout you?

I can kind of relate to your issue. I have really bad IBS and only really eat one small snack a day due to severe side effects.  Having said this my iron levels are really low and who knows what other nutrients that I'm low on which would effect our TTC.  I have been prescribed iron pills but these just make my IBS worse so I don't take them much which doesn't help my situation.
