awful hip and back pain

I've been feeling pretty sick all day so I've just been laying in bed mostly and I'm not sure if it's cause I spend most of my time laying towards my left side but my left hip just feels like someone is taking a hammer to it and my lower left side of my back hurts as well and it's tender to the touch when I try to rub out the pain? Is there anything I should be concerned about with it literally hurting for me to touch it?
