Winter workout motivation?

I love running outside, but am not a fan if running on icy sidewalks in the winter. How much does everyone vary

I love to run outside (not a fan of distance on the treadmill. I'll do 2-3 miles on a treadmill and that's it), so in the spring, summer and fall I run a lot more than I do in the winter. In winter I lift a lot more.
