Hi girls! So this is my first ever post and I'm nervous! I've never been a part of so many supportive women and it's nice! So I just had a quick question. When I was a junior in high school I had really bad. The lasted 11 days and were really heavy. So my mom took me to the gynecologist for birth control method that will help stop my periods. Well the first birth control that I took was the shot that lasted three months and within those first couple of shots I gained over 40 pounds and was 189 pounds from 144. I was devastated and felt so terrible I stopped it. I eventually lost most of the weight from being in and out of the hospital but ever since that experience I was afraid to try birth control again. I then went on to take the pill for a few months and started that at the beginning of the year. It wasn't bad the only fact was that I would forget every once in a while with my busy schedule of being a full-time student as well as working and trying to have some type of social life. So my doctor suggested either the patch or the ring I was a little bit at intimidated by the ring so I picked the patch to try. I read on the package that it has about 60% more estrogen then a pill and wanted to ask you lovely ladies if any of you guys had tried to patch and if so where there any side effects to it. Which birth control method do you prefer most?
