Gaining support for birth control
My family is extremely religious and my mom doesn't believe in premarital sex. Our relationship is strained but I need her support for things because she is a big financial help. I'm 17, turning 18 in around 6 months and want to get birth control. Not only for the birth control aspect, but also to hopefully help my period symptoms that get awful. I've mentioned that bc can help my symptoms, but it's immediately dismissed. I understand that I'll be 18 fairly soon, but I worry about her somehow finding out and not supporting me in any way anymore. Are there any tips to help convince her it's a good option even though she doesn't like bc? I'd appreciate all the advice I can get
